Hide and Hide

It's too "peopley"

Outside today

Let me crawl

Back to my shell,

I tried, I really did,

To be fierce,

To prove that I, too,

Am like a tigress,

Strong enough to

Tear everyone apart,

But today, I would like

To drown in the ocean

Of my precious tears

Today, I would like

To hide in my thoughts

And blame myself

For whatever it is

That went wrong;

Tomorrow, no matter

How "peopley" it is out there,

I will tear my shell apart,

And step outside

So there's nowhere

For me to hide

And someone to

Show my strength to.
